Power of attorney for use in Grenada and abroad
A power of attorney allows someone to act on your behalf — to sell or buy property, manage a bank account, represent a company or handle an estate. When it crosses a border, it usually has to be translated, notarised and apostilled or legalized.
We coordinate the whole process: working with your attorney on the text, preparing a bilingual version where useful, arranging notarisation of your signature and obtaining the apostille or embassy legalization needed in the destination country.

Frequently asked questions
Do you draft powers of attorney?
The legal content of a power of attorney should be drafted or approved by an attorney-at-law or the receiving party. We coordinate with them, translate the document and take care of notarisation and legalization.
Can I sign a power of attorney in Grenada for use in another country?
Yes. You sign before a notary public in Grenada, and the document is then apostilled or legalized so it is valid in the other country.
Can a foreign power of attorney be used in Grenada?
Usually it must be apostilled or legalized in the country where it was signed and, if it is not in English, accompanied by a certified English translation. We can arrange both.
